Our Review of the GLM84SM from Body-Solid:
The Body-Solid GLM84SM is identical to the Body-Solid GLM84S, but is fitted with a larger 285lb weight stack (compared to 210lb on the GLM84S). So, if the GLM84SM is beyond your budget, or is simply not necessary, you may wish to review the Body-Solid GLM84S. Likewise, the Body-Solid GLM83 is practically the same machine without the weight stack and is subsequently cheaper again.
Despite me (Matt) mentioning the cheaper machines above, the fact cannot be ignored that the Body-Solid GLM84SM is less than half the price of any other manufacturers equivalent products (such as the Life Fitness FSLR). Therefore, for any light-commercial environment, it should be a serious consideration. At the time of writing this (Nov '08), we've recently equiped several fire stations with this exact item.

Comfortable to use and well priced!Review submitted on 15th January 2010 by matt The GLM84SM offers near equal comfort to many lat pulldown/ low row machines that are twice the price. 285lb is a big weight stack, so I was a little wary about the build suitability, but it's more than ample, making the GLM84SM ideal for any home or personal training gym. Setting the machine up is a little fiddley, but, as long as you're patient, you should be fine. |
