Delivery

As our range of services vary widely, delivery times and methods depend on what products are ordered. The details below outline the majority of cases but we will always confirm details on receipt of order or you can phone us for more product specific delivery.

Delivery costs - Different products have varying delivery charges or free delivery associated with them. Once adding an item or items to your trolley the delivery charge (if any) that is relevant will be clearly identified. Where combinations of items with differing delivery charges are added to the basket the items incurring the greatest charge will become the default for the whole order and lesser delivery charges will be exempted rather than accumulated.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and Delivery is the charge for internet order processing, item selection, packaging, transport and handling. We don't guarantee delivery times, but we do our best to provide accurate estimates.

Delivery costs - While we'll try and ensure most requirements are met by default website prices there will always be certain products and locations that require surcharges to be added e.g. non-mainland UK, Central London, Highlands and Islands that don't form part of a regular haulier/carrier route but we'll let you know if additional charges need to be added and we'll append any additions to your order and request written (e-mail) acceptance of charges BEFORE processing payments.

Delivery Locations - At time of writing and due to the ever increasing costs of International delivery we won't be shipping directly to non-UK destinations but, what has worked well for ourselves and our International customers over the last 20+ years is us sending items to a customers appointed shipping agent in the UK and the outbound onward step of the journey being contracted between customer and their UK shipping company. In such situations, providing proof of despatch of goods out of the UK within 3 months of purchase means goods can be supplied as Zero VAT rated. Gym Equipment and Fitness Equipment - (larger items) not sent direct will typically go by 1 man, 2 man or pallet delivery and our usual quoted times are 7 to 10 working days though depending on seasonal variations and manufacturers stock levels this can often be much quicker and very occasionally longer but we will always inform you either way. Please also note most carriers will provide a kerbside (ground floor) delivery, as such items will be expected to be received and accepted as such. The Exception to this rule is with some ForceUSA Gym Equipment items for which we may offer a 2 man delivery service into the room of your choice with certain restrictions such as a maximum of 1 single flight or stairs. (An alternative room will have to be chosen if dimensions of equipment and access constraints make your preferred choice not possible) NOTE: Please also see Pallet Deliveries LARGE ITEMS below.

Pallet Deliveries - (Small Items): Where items are too heavy to go by regular carrier (UPS, DPD, Royal Mail Parcels etc) they will be sent on a pallet. Please be aware that a pallet delivery, as detailed above, is contractually a "kerbside delivery/drop" and although the drivers should be equipped with a tail-lift lorry and a pallet trolley anything further than kerbside is down to driver discretion and more importantly access. A pallet trolley will ONLY go over flat, hard, well paved surfaces. Gravel and up-hill inclines are a no-go zone and will require the recipient to un-pack and carry the goods from roadside into property. Once the customer has signed for the goods they become the customers liabillity. Drivers will typically take a picture of the delivered pallet to show contents and delivered state before leaving so we'd advise doing the same if you feel the pallet has arrived in a compromised state.

NOTE: Pallet deliveries - (Large Items): Large items such as our full commercial GymRatZ Gym Equipment are typically delivered on bigger lorries which have greater restrictions on access to roads, lanes and domestic properties. The items quite often can't be removed from the lorry via the tail-lift due to height, length or size in general and may require a degree of stripping down on the back of the lorry and hand-balling into your property. Many items even when stripped down can be heavy and require several people to carry. There are a number of options to get around these limitations but by far the eaiest and less fraught with trauma (for all parties) is to pay for installation. Often a very small price to pay in the long-run to have our install team collect the items from our factory and bring them directly to you in a more appropriately sized vehicle. WaterRowers - Once payment has been processed your order is forwarded to WaterRower UK distribution centre for scheduling. A member of staff at WaterRower will phone you at their earliest possible convenience to book delivery on the day of your choosing (excluding weekends and bank holidays) please ensure your order contains a telephone number on which you can be contacted during office hours to reduce scheduling delays. Your WaterRower will be sent by Next-working-day carrier in 2 boxes (3 boxes if the accessory pack is part of the order) and delivery will be between 08:30 and 17:30 on the pre-arranged day. It may be possible to request a pre 09:30hrs or pre 12:30hrs delivery time for an additional surcharge which will be confirmed at time of order prior to processing payment. NOTE:If the telephone number given is not answered and there is no means of leaving a message delivery date scheduling will naturally be delayed.

All goods delivered on behalf of Gym Ratz by any third party carrier are insured against damage during door-to-door transit/delivery. The receiver of the goods should carefully inspect all packaging for signs of damage or apparent damage upon receipt of goods. If the packaging is in anyway whatsoever, torn, crushed, missing in part or whole, or the goods themselves are damaged in anyway whatsoever, or missing in part or whole, then the third party Carrier's delivery note should under NO CIRCUMSTANCES be signed as 'Received in good condition' If the receiver of the goods is unsure or suspect about the goods having been damaged, then the third party Carrier's delivery note should not be signed! Instead, the receiver should clearly write on the delivery note 'GOODS RECEIVED DAMAGED' and include all details of the damage (including carton numbers, item descriptions and a description of the damage/missing parts).
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE RECEIVER ACCEPT ANY DAMAGED GOODS AND SIGN FOR THEM AS PER NORMAL DELIVERY. FAILURE TO INSPECT DELIVERED GOODS UPON ARRIVAL WILL INVALIDATE ANY CLAIM AGAINST THE CARRIER AND A CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION!
