From all the brilliance offered by the First Degree S500 Fluid Rower there was only ever one criticism - the size. For a commercial environment, the fact that the stowed position is next to useless makes no odds when it's unlikely to ever be stowed. For the home user, the practicality of stowing your rower can be a bigger concern. Subsequently, the solution's to make another rower - one that caters more for the home user. Okay, maybe the WaterRower has already acheived this with great success. But, now for the same money you can have a very, very similar feeling machine with the addition (should you require it) of being able to adjust adjust the resistance (rather than through stroke rate alone).

Personally, I (Matt) am a fan of the WaterRower but the Fluid Rower does have an appeal. To be honest both you and I would be happy with either, but if you're undecided why not pay us a visit - we have the Fluid Rower (S500) and WaterRower (Natural Ash with S4 monitor) on display in store and will be happy for you to give them a real test!
