How many leg presses have you used where the footplate's too small for you to comfortably perform your press? You'll sacrifice your movement or only have your heels rested on the foot plate, but our leg press has served the tests of time over the years, it's become the Leg Press of choice for elite level sports clubs (mainly rugby clubs) and organisations.

What I should point out however is that since the arrival of the Independent Leg Press a few years ago the original foot plate design has changed from most of the pictures shown above to a more traditional flat plate design which is angled to maintain correct foot position relative to the seat pad so when adopting a foot-forward position the plate doesn't create additional loading on the achillese tendon which the flatter (angled) top of the original foot plate could cause under heavy loading.

Over the last 20 years we've made and installed hundreds of these GymRatZ 45 degree Leg Press stations in some of the toughest gyms iand to date the only thing that has needed replacing is the occasional seat pad due to very high machine usage although these can typically be re-upholstered by any local upholstery service very economically should this ever be required.

The bearings used are the same for all our GymRatZ Heavy Duty Gym Equipment which are Thompson Linear Bearings which are what we consider to be the best bearings in the industry. Thes actually improve with age rather than deteriorate so as time goes by the action gets quieter and remains as silky smooth and friction free as the day it was made.

Optional extras (at time of fabrication) include double-barrel loading option for increasing loading capacity up to a huge 1600Kg. (Select option)

While the additional loading pin carriage would have quite a limited amount of users that would require such capacity the plate storage pins option should be considered an essential add-on at least for any commercial gym where users should be encouraged to remove at least the majority of plates after use. NOTE: The Weight Storage Pins are now included as standard though not shown in most of our pictures.
