Sports Vitamins from Maximuscle is a multi-vitamin and anti-oxidant capsule designed to complement Maximuscle range of sports nutrition and bodybuilding supplements. The problem I have with most multi-vitamin type products is they try to be too many things leading to a fairly weak combination of everything. As such, in my opinion Maximuscle Sports Vitamins is too weak a dose of everything and to have a recommended dose of just 1 Sports Vitamins capsule per day leaves very little covered, especially for a hard training athlete.

Maximuscle Sports Vitamins capsules are based on the wisdom that most peoples diets are deficient in many vitamins and minerals, and when training hard, the requirement for certain vitamins increases.

Would I use Sports Vitamins capsules by Maximuscle?

No. the doses are too low to be of significant benefit in my mind. The only real way of getting a genuinely effective dose of many of the ingredients in Maximuscle Sports Vitamins is to take them separately and split throughout the day. Both Vitamin C and the B complex vitamins are water soluble as such, taking AM and PM is a more effective way to keep levels high.

I personally believe that for a hard training individual Vitamin C in doses of 1 to 2 grams (1000mg to 2000mg per day ) split AM and PM is not excessive. And at 250mg per capsule Maximuscle Sports Vitamins doesn't come close.

A good split dose multi-vitamin like Reflex Nutrition Nexgen and a separate high dose Vitamin C supplement would be a much better solution.
