Meal Replacement Powders or MRPs for short are really just a balance of protein, carbohydrate, healthy fats and a few vitamins and minerals added into the equation. Reflex Progen sachets have stood the test of time as offering a great nutritional profile in a very convenient sachet.

Reflex Progen, like the rest of the MRP sachets don't have such a big market following as regular weight gainers or protein powders, but by being sold in individual serving sachets they are brilliant for taking to work or on holiday, working away etc. No scoops or big plastic tubs, just take the right amount of servings in your bag or case etc and that's you sorted.

Reflex Progen Sachets have a slightly oaty taste but nothing to dislike. The flavours aren't overpowering or artificially sweet, they are just right.

I often have a box open in the shop which will serve as lunch or an afternoon snack.

Progen is a great MRP product and covers most of the bases many other brands choose to ignore.

For years now most meal replacements have used maltodextrin as a carbohydrate source, in fact previous formulations of Progen used maltodextrin. However, it has two major drawbacks. Firstly it contains absolutely no fibre, and secondly it has a high glycemic index meaning that it raises blood sugar levels very quickly.

Reflex Nutrition Progen is the first meal replacement of its type to contain an exclusive blend of organic barley and oats. This organic source of carbohydrate provides a low glycemic source of energy along with naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre.

Not all MRP's contain slow release Micellar Casein and Egg White isolate: Our Micellar Casein is made with minimal processing. In fact, it's probably the least processed of all dairy proteins. Skimmed milk is ultra filtered to remove virtually all fat and lactose, the protein that remains is pure native milk protein containing undenatured micellar casein and a small percentage of native whey peptides. Egg white protein has long been a staple protein source for athletes and bodybuilders due to their excellent amino acid profile and their high biological value. Reflex only use undenatured egg whites which are derived from the freshest eggs and tested to be free from salmonella. Egg white isolate is preferable to whole egg as it contains virtually no fat or carbohydrate and it has a medium absorption rate.

New Reflex Progen Sachets do NOT contain cheaper mineral oxides: Magnesium Oxide and other metal oxides are unsuitable for the Reflex product range and are not used in Progen. Iron Oxide for example is rust.

Reflex Progen ONLY contains Amino Acid Chelated Minerals: Reflex Nutrition only use expensive chelated minerals which are bonded to amino acids as well as the patented technology Bioperine providing bio availability for superior absorption.

New improved Reflex Progen contains natural Vitamin K2 and superior Vitamin B12: Vitamin K2 is the most biologically active form of vitamin K. It is studied for its role in bone health and cardiac function, whilst Vitamin B12 as Methylcobalamin is the most bio available and best utilised form of vitamin B12.

Very few brands use enzymes or pro-biotics: Reflex Nutrition use Digezyme enzymes to aid the digestion of protein, fats and milk sugars. Lactospore pro-biotics are added to provide friendly intestinal bacteria, similar to those found in yoghurt drinks advertised on television.

Directions for use:
