GymRatZ Sci-MX Ultragen Whey Protein review:

In 2010 Sci-MX went through a re-naming and re-packaging process which saw many of our favourite products re-worked. Our long-time favourite protein 100% Whey Protein had a few tweaks and became known as Ultragen Whey Protein. Same great protein powder enhanced with some extras such as Vit-MX-Build (Zinc, Magnesium, vitamins and minerals) and OptiZyme (digestive enzymenes). From every other perspective like taste, mixing, texture etc etc the original review as for 100% Whey Protein still stands. One other thing, there is a new flavour called "Natural Dairy" which is claimed to taste like milk rather than the typical un-flavoured "natural" flavour of other manufacturers which is usually not the best taste ever. I will add a review of Natural Dairy flavour Ultragen once I have cracked open a pot in the shop.

Sci-MX 100% (Ultragen) Whey Protein is without doubt our biggest selling whey protein in the shop; Admittedly quite a bit of this is because it's the first choice for both myself and Matt based on taste, quality and mix-ability and of course value.

It's very hard to suggest an alternative when you've found something that fulfills every requirement without being over priced. So it's no wonder we sell so much and customers that have tried it always come back for the same.

Mixed with water and 100% (Ultragen) Whey Protein is perfect as a quick to digest low carb, low fat high protein shake, but for a thicker, fuller and slower digesting protein you can simply mix Ultragen Whey Protein with Milk. On a par with regards to protein quality then our one time best seller Reflex Instant Whey offers an alternative choice of flavours but we still (at the moment) can't drag ourselves away from Sci-MX products as they always have the edge on taste and texture.

Sci-MX 100% Ultragen Whey Protein Recommended Use:

Add two heaped scoops to 300ml of cold water. Using a blender or hand held shaker, mix for 30 seconds. For maximum enjoyment and flavour, allow to settle for around 45 seconds after mixing. Have 2-3 servings daily. Servings may be halved.
