Wooden Log Bar

Strongman-style training at home is becoming increasingly popular, as much of the equipment can be used outdoors (i.e. in the garden). Deliberately awkward and challenging to lift, these traditional wooden strongman logs are the ideal addition to "spice" up your workouts.

The logs have been designed and cut so that weight distribution is fairly even. The logs weigh around 30kg to 45kg, however, it should be noted this will become less (20% is likely) as the wood drys out. With this in mind, cracking is also likely to appear, which is natural. We recommend using a wood preserver, such as Cuprinol, on the logs (especially on the exposed wood at the ends and in the handle cuts). This treatment helps to slow down the release of the moisture from the timber, preserving the logs and increase their longevity.

The 1" handle has a width (distance between handles) made to IFSA Strongman specification and the log diameter is generally around 11". As with most of our specialist bars, the plate-load pins are 48mm tubing, so suitable for use with olympic plates only.
