Weights Benches
Weights Bench - A good weight training bench is the heart of a great free weights home gym. You don't need to splash out on a full commercial weights bench, it's a huge overkill (but a very nice luxury) however, if you cut costs when it comes to your bench you will regret your purchase on your first weight training session.
A good quality bench inspires confidence in your training, allowing you to concentrate on lifting the weights and not worrying about keeping your balance or trying to shift your weight around to get comfortable.
Cheap benches suffer from overly soft padding and poor structural support, they usually have a low maximum weight capacity which is often quoted including user weight!
Any weight training bench with a maximum user weight quoted should be viewed with caution.

Squat / Power Racks
Power Rack - Our carefully selected range of squat racks and power racks are selected to give you the ultimate home gym training enviroment with safety and versatility being the main focus while affording exceptional value and quality.
Many people looking to set up a home gym never consider a power rack often because they haven't had the pleasure of using one, so typically a smith machine is their first choice.
We say - save big money! A squat rack is significantly cheaper than a good smith machine. You can develop good lifting form using a rack and freeweights leading to much less risk of injury than using heavy weights and false confidence offered by many smith machines!
Add a Lat pulldown / low row and we'll be banging on the door to train for free when passing by!

Upper Body Strength
This section of our store is for exercise stations which primarily target muscles of the upper body such as chest, back, shoulders, arms, neck, but don't fall into the "machines" categories of the home gym equipment section.
Take a self standing and space saving a dip or dip/chin station for example which takes up very little space. In use you could be next to the wall or be in the corner of a room and still be able to use the station. What more could you ask? more resistance? Simple, just add a dipping belt from our weight training accessories section, add a few weights and go well beyond bodyweight for all exercises.
Like gym equipment, you pay more money for higher construction quality. Higher price gives a heavier duty kit.

Mid Section Strength
Mid Section Strength - In this section of the web site we have workout stations mostly for the home gym or light commercial gym which focus on the abdominal and lower back muscles. The mid-section is usually trained out of balance with people only concentrating on the abs. (abdominal muscles) trying to achieve a six-pack but the lower back is just as important and many of the stations in this section like the Body-Solid Roman Chair shown can be used for effectively training both lower back and abdominal muscle groups to achieve a strong and balanced mid section which will help your strength in all other resistance and cardiovascular exercise .

Lower Body Strength
Lower Body Strength - As we have upper body machines, mid section machines and lower body machines I thought it would be a good idea to do the same with the non-machine gym equipment, however, on reflection almost all lower body equipment is covered by the leg machines section. If you are not into machines then leg development would come from the power racks section for free weight leg exercises. However,we'll leave this section in as you never know what equipment may be just around the next corner. For me leg development without weights would be single leg bodyweight squats, sissy squats etc but things like the Body-Solid squat block make life easier.
