Resistance Machines

Leg Exercise Machines

Leg Exercise Machines

Leg Exercise Machines come in all shapes, sizes design and of course price, but the main aim of any leg machine is to exercise and strengthen the leg muscles either by targeting the individual muscle heads that make up the leg muscle group (isolation exercise machines) or by working the leg muscles as a complete unit (compound exercise machines). This leg machine section brings you both isolation and compound leg machines suitable for any good quality home gym arrangement. Most of the gym equipment we sell has been tested by us and given our own honest feedback. If it's a leg machine you're after, we'll make sure you get one perfectly matched to your leg training requirements.

Back Exercise Machines

Back Exercise Machines

Back Exercise Machines - The secret to preventing back problems is to work on developing a strong lower back and balancing this with upper back development. Too much focus on building strong abdominals in an attempt to find that elusive Six-Pack typically leads to an imbalance of core stability muscles which puts greater stress on the back. What can you do to correct this? Build a strong back of course. The most effective back strength exercises would involve freeweights and exercises such as deadlift, squat etc, but of course we appreciate these exercises are rarely practiced in free-weight gyms let alone the home gym, so what's the alternative? Why a back machine of course. Lots to choose from so take a browse and I'll explain the differences as we wonder round the store.

Shoulder/Chest Exercise Machines

Shoulder/Chest Exercise Machines

Shoulder and Chest Exercise Machines have been bundled together into the same section of our home gym equipment store as the range of these machines if pretty limited and a few of the machines cater for both muscle groups through seat and lever adjustment. Another reason is that as your chest exercise goes from flat through greater degrees of incline then involvement of the shoulders on performing the exercise increases to the point you are performing a shoulder press exercise using all 3 heads of the shoulder muscle group and a very limited pectoral (chest muscle) involvement. If you can't find what you want just give us a call.

Cable Crossover Machines

Cable Crossover Machines

Cable Crossover Machine - Here's a nice addition to any home gym, given that you have enough space. The item pictured is the new generation of cable crossover exercise machines which are really taking over from the more traditional designs. They take up less space by being narrower while still offering the same functional training with regards to exercises that can be performed. Saying that, traditional cable cross over stations are still alive and kicking, providing everything you'd find in one of our commercial cable-crossover stations. Loads of upper body exercises can be performed, especially when used with a flat/incline weights bench.

Arm Exercise Machines

Arm Exercise Machines

Arm Exercise Machines - "You've won 2 tickets to the Gun Show" OK, so you want to add a machine to your home gym to get some targeted arm training? Take a moment to browse through the exercise machines in this section and get an idea what's available. Biceps & Triceps exercises are where big arms start. Arm machines are, like most other machines, very target specific. This doesn't mean you're going to grow massive arms by training them every day, no Sir. You need to work arms hard without over training them, so a couple of exercises of 3 or 4 sets for biceps and the same for triceps then don't work again for a few days. Dont forget Biceps get hit by back exercise and triceps get worked on chest and shoulder exercises too!

Abdominal Exercise Machines

Abdominal Exercise Machines

Abdominal Exercise Machines - Guess what. The abdominal muscles are the same as any other skeletal muscle and respond to the same sort of training. What this means is sit-ups are useless in the "how to get a sixpack" quest. We need resistance. Weight training for the abs! An ab machine (Abdominal Exercise Machine) allows you to perform weighted ab crunch and reverse crunch exercises to target both upper and lower abs perfectly while being able to add greater weight to the movement for progressive overload of the muscles to achieve sets and reps identical to those used for strengthening and building other muscle groups. Check the ab machines we recommend for your home gym remember not all abdominal exercise machines are created equal so don't be fooled by the T.V. adverts, check with us first.
