Indoor Rowers
Indoor rowing is a most excellent exercise. With regards to the muscular force exerted, the first half of the drive or power stoke is relying primarily on the legs. Further into the drive the back muscles come into action and, towards the end of the drive phase the shoulders and the arms join in. As you can see rowing provides a well rounded and complete exercise with zero impact and maximum use of most of the major muscle groups of the body. The chest, shoulders and triceps feature much less in rowing but this could be balanced up with body weight press-ups or a dip station. What you won't find in this section is anything at the lower of the price range. No rowers with hydraulic levers and arms, no springs and strings. Just a selection of down to earth higher end domestic through to full commercial rowers.
