Home Gym Packages
Home Gym Packages -To save you time and confusion when trying to plan your home gym we have put together various home gym equipment packages to cater for all weight training needs and requirements. These packages can be purchased as-is or tailored to suit your own specific requirements however we have considered the most suitable gym equipment items that work well together and match price and performance. The only thing missing from our gym packages are the inclusion of weights or bars as the price of these items is currently so volatile that we can't keep up.
If you need to add weights they can be added from our weight and bars section, you will always want to add a 7' bar to most packages.

Domestic Smith Machines
Smith Machines - A Smith Machine is often high on the list for anyone buying home gym equipment. Several reasons for this would be the enhanced safety factor when training at home or training alone or with youngsters, lack of confidence in training with free weights (if using a power rack or cage) and the increased confidence that Smith Machines will help force reasonably good form when performing exercises like squats or bench press.
Body-Solids introduction of the "Series 7 smith machine" added a 7 degree pitch to the vertical making it more ergonomic than the traditional equipment design; as such most brands have copied this idea and now make Smith Machines to a similar style and design. (Including our own GymRatZ Full Commercial Smith Machine)

Leverage Gyms
Leverage Gyms - If you want a home gym that balances multi-gym technology with free-weight loading enabling you to use the same weights for barbell curls and other free weight exercises or even to use the same weights to load other plate-loading machines, then a Leverage Gym could be the answer.
If you don't have the space for a full width 7 foot bar and rack we think a leverage-gym may be right up your street.
Powertec and Bodysolid have produced some great examples of this twist on the old Hammer Strength commercial stations. High quality units worthy of a 2nd look.

Home Multi Gyms
Multigyms have been around for years it seems. Most multigyms retain the original design of a rear selectorised weight stack, a bench adjusting from flat for bench press to upright for shoulder press.
Multi Gyms usually feature a high pulley with a lat pulldown to work your back (Lats.) and triceps.
With multi gyms as indeed with most home gym equipment; if you buy a budget brand based on what it looks like and on price alone you'll end up with a multigym that doesn't have enough weight or adjustment to allow comfortable or effective use. At GymRatZ we don't even sell anything we wouldn't be happy using, as such you can be sure your home gym will make the grade and last a last a lifetime. -
