NOTE: "GymRat UK" (Registered Company GYMRAT U.K. LTD) is NOT connected to GymRatZ UK or GymRats.co.uk, GymRats.uk or any other of our many registered domain names and web sites in any way. We have been made aware that the person that originally made the website GymRat UK in spring 2020 to sell a range of own-brand.
- NOTE: Please also note that we have a new web-site in development called GymRats UK Gym Equipment (Note the "s" on the end replacing the "z" which IS 100% us as you'll see from the address and telephone number but it's currently in development so orders can't be placed directly but you can phone us as the telephone number on both our sites are the same.
- NOTE: STRIKE OFF - 6th December 2022 - Behzed Masood applied to Companies House to have the company GYMRAT U.K. LTD struck off and dissolved with a Directors decclaration that section 1004 and 1005 of the Companies Act 2006 had not been contravened. And what does this section state? Well voluntary strike-off can only be made IF the company has not traded for 3 months prior to the application. SO As well we know from the phone calls and TrustPilot reviews, this declaration appears to be false to say the least.
The Shopify website SHOULD have been shut down in at the end of September 2022 but no, when we look at the store it's STILL active with the "Terms & Conditions" page stating: " This website is operated by GymRat U.K. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to GymRat U.K. Ltd. (company number: 13152643)" And on 13th April 2023 I received a call from someone that had part of their delivery missing which arrived that day and ordered a day or 2 earlier! (despatched by Bytomic Warehouse) - Mr. Masood's company GymRat U.K. LTD was struck-off and dissolved on 4th April 2023 but should Companies House should have rejected the voluntary strike-off as it still appears to be trading? So who is GymRat UK?
"GymRat" clothing was set-up spring 2020 as a lockdown project according to its creator who then sold the website, domain name, store and brand trademark (Clothing and footwear) to a person called Behzad Masood at the start of 2021 whereupon Mr Masood took to moving the clothing business for which the brand was trademarked and started adding the same ranges of equipment that we sell.
He also approached a number of our long standing suppliers requesting trade accounts having already added their branded products to his site for which he neither had access to and would not get access to due to our suppliers not allowing him the products and in all cases advising him to remove all of their products from his site so we have been advised.
Meanwhile we were inundated with calls from customers demanding their money back as they'd paid for goods from GymRat UK but not recieved any products and couldn't get any response to communication so they called us thinking because this new company had a name almost identical to our own we must be the same company.
Our advice to all customers unable to get a reply for undelivered goods from any company is to contact their bank and perform a chargeback.
Behzed Masood was 2 years old when we started GymRatZ UK, opened our "Bricks&Mortar" shop and also registered our gymratz.co.uk domain name in 1999 (and gymrats.co.uk in 2000) and started trading on-line (predominantly in supplements, clothing and gym and fitness equipment in those days). We're still here, still trading unlike the many hundrerds of e-tailers we've seen come and go over the last 23+ years.
- So just to re-confirm, the company trading as GymRat UK Ltd is a business started in 2020 that changed hands in 2021 running a store on Shopify and selling low end budget gym and fitness equipment we don't entertain trying to sell as we only sell products we'd be happy to use ourselves so pretty much all our products are brands suitable for club/light commercial use through to our own Hevay Duty Full Commercial GymRatZ Gym Equipment ranges made in the UK by one of the worlds leading manufacturers of heavy duty gym equipment.
Please please don't be decieved into thinking that we have let our standards and principles slide. If it's not got our phone number and our address and you can only contact a mobile number then it's 100% NOT anything to do with us.
JUNE 2023 Update: The Shopify store linked to GymRat website has at long last been closed down. My guess would be for not keeping up hosting and store payments. This page you are reading will remain forever published as a historical record of fraudulent activity and events, and as a warning that the domain name in question is now permanantly tainted as will be all those names that have been associated with it.
