Commercial grade hex dumbells suitable for any home or commercial gym.

It's worth noting that the hexagonal shape of the dumbell head through having flat surfaces requires the heads to be longer than an equivalent round ended dumbell like the York Cast Round Dumbells for example but that said, any 50Kg dumbell is going to be a hefty beast and these rubber hex dumbells by York Barbell are no exception.

York Barbell have this dumbell range listed as "Light Commercial" i.e. non fee-paying gyms or leisure facillities so although we are happy to supply them into a commercial gym, the warranty would be void due to the current "trend" of throwing or dropping weights being seen as an acceptable practice by the new generation of gym owners.

If any 50Kg dumbbell is thrown or dropped regardless of whether it's onto a rubber floor or not the dumbell is likely to present premature failiure as seen by loosening of dumbell heads or complete seperation of head from handle. None of which is covered in a commercial gym for reasons stated above. 

York Rubber Hex dumbells have contoured, knurled chrome handles and durable rubber-covered heads for increased safety and comfort. The rubber coated hexagonal dumbbell heads are torque-threaded and permanently affixed to a thick 35 mm solid steel shaft improving the strength of the head/handle joint. The rubber coating increases durability, protects flooring and equipment, enhances appearance, diminishes noise and is easy to clean.
