So, what's the score with CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acid to give it it's full name? Does CLA help with fat loss? how can a fat increase the amount of fat used by the body? Personally I'm a firm believer in taking the correct "healthy" fats, of which CLA seems to provide an important role along with Omega 3, 6 & 9 so whether trying to lose fat or gain muscle I for one believe Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) has an important role in anyones diet.

Packed in 90 capsules per pot the recommended dose is 1 capsules three times a day however as with most things I personally tend to take a bit more than suggested and typically take 2 or 3 capsule once or twice a day as and when I remember.

Studies Confirm CLA's Action:Dr. Michael Pariza of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, co-discoverer of CLA, announced the results of the first human clinical trial involving 20 men and women, conducted by Erling Thom, Ph.D. of MedStatResearch Ltd. in Lillestrom, Norway.

"A significant reduction of body fat is obtained during a treatment period of 3 months with CLA capsules,while no reduction is obtained in a comparable placebo treated group," was stated in a recent study -The double-blind, placebo-controlled study confirmed what all previous animal studies on CLA have documented, CLA's patented ability to reduce body fat and improve lean muscle mass by improving the way the body utilises nutrients and acting as a powerful antioxidant.Pariza said the active group receiving CLA showed a 20 percent reduction in body fat percentage, or an average reduction of seven pounds of fat. Unique to this type of study, the participants weighed 156 pounds on average and were instructed not to change their diet or exercise patterns. Thus, the participants were not obese; they actually had a very normal body mass index of less than 25, Dr.Pariza reported.
