Gym Mats - Powerlifter Rubber Flooring (17mm)
Gym Mats - Powerlifter Rubber Flooring
Full Commercial Powerlifter Rubber Flooring from GymRatZ
READ THIS FIRST: Heavy duty rubber flooring smells of rubber! (to varying degrees) This smell eventually goes, sometimes weeks and sometimes months later. Wheh considered for use in a domestic capacity, unless the gym area can be isolated from the main house and adequately ventilated by fresh air the smell will permeate through the whole house and as such it's not advisable to use in an adjoined conservatory for example. Smell of rubber is no grounds for return of a rubber product
The Powerlifter Rubber Flooring is 7mm thicker (17mm) than the Heavy Duty Rubber Flooring, subsequently, these are ideal for areas which are likely to receive more pounding from dropped weights etc. Making these mats ideal for a heavy-duty freeweights gym or a powerlifting area. Each mat weighs roughly 44kg and is 4ft by 6ft by 17mm.
VERY IMPORTANT: Due to the manufacturing process of moulded rubber products these mats (and others like them) often have a molecule thin silicone oil film (aka mould release) on the top and bottom surfaces which can be difficult to remove and might under some circumstances require either a hot water (over 75 degrees C) detergent wash/degreaser (steam cleaning). Each batch is different and some can be worse than others. If using in a garage to protect concrete floor the coating will get absorbed naturally through dust but if being used to make a lifting platform for crossfit style lifts it would be advisable to use a thick plywood sheet on top of the rubber mat to create a very stable and most excellent DIY lifting platform.
We have never known our interlocking premium gym tiles or premium gym mats to have the same problem and as such, would always suggest interlocking tiles for use for larger areas and commercial gyms where initial de-greasing might be an issue.
Also of interest, we sale Olympic Bumper Grip Plates, Solid Rubber Training Plates and can manufacture lifting platforms.
NOTE - These are solid rubber and NOT for use as "exercise mats"!
These mats may be subject to change, so please order enough for your training facility.
