We've had a lot of requests of late to make a variation of the Football Bar, which has seen an increase in popularity in the States thanks to a few of the right names recommending it. The theory is similar to the design behind the EZ Bar, reducing strain on your wrist. Therefore, you can use it for lifts such as bench press or bent-over rows, plus it can be used for front squats (making it easier to hold the bar in place). Personally (Matt writing), I find a straight bar perfectly comfortable for performing pressing and pulling exercises & will commonly swap an angled bar on a pulley for a straight bar (for pulldowns, rows, curls etc.). That said, the Olympic Football Bar can add another dimension to your training & a change is always welcome.

The GymRatZ Olympic Football Bar is slightly different in appearance to it's American cousin. Rather than 'bolted -in' elbows given a rounded appearance, we prefer to offer the 90 degree welded version (much tougher).

- Handles angled at 20° to reduce wrist strain.
- Handles are spaced at 430mm, 660mm and 880mm giving a huge range of training options.

For use with olympic (2") plates only (sold separately).
