York STS Half Rack

Review: York STS Half Rack (secure self standing rack) is a full commercial product by York Barbell, designed to perfectly match up with the full range of York Barbell STS equipment. Optional accessories are avaiable to purchase with your rack Dip handles, safety arms, scoop blocks, multi-functional bench. A near equivalent to our Core and GymRatZ Gym Equipment range this a strong, robust and secure minimal self build rack suited to full commercial training environment. This rack is also a firm favourite with the ever growing home gym builders.

Most other brands available today attach lift offs, safeties and other accessories into peg holes in the uprights. Fit and stability of items such as dip handles differs from brand to brand.  York Barbell use a claw rack sytem to secure accessories to their racks this ensures ease of re- positioning and gives a very secure stable fit.

We at GymRatZ thouroughly endorse the STS  full commercial rating, we also highly recommend the STS range for home use where safety and stability is of primary concern to the customer. Its usual for heavy duty, strongman, body builder, hard  core functional trainers to choose the fully fabricated, made to order,  GymRatZ range or Core Gym range of equipment  but these sometimes have fairly long lead times (depending on seasonal demand) compared to a normally off-the-shelf solution such as this STS Half Rack. If waiting for an item is out of the question and your not looking for bespoke frame colour the York STS stuff is a great alternative that we can usually get to you within 3-5 working days of ordering

The add-on accesories that fit all the York STS Racks give plenty of versatillity and multi-station performance. The STS College Rack incorporates the bench stringer that allows the York Multi-Functional Bench to be locked perfectly into the rack for bench work.

Weight storage posts and bar storage promote good practice preventing mess and damage to plates and bars that might otherwise be left loaded on lift offs or strewn about the floor. We encourage the use of optional extra safety catchers with this item, especially if training alone or pushing yourself to the max.

We rate this rack so highly rack we chose it for our home gym. It's not the most economical rack available for domestic use but it is without a doubt "buy best, buy once" we won't be wanting or needing to upgrade ever! Debs

This item is typically shipped from stock for delivery within 2 to 3 working days. Delivery only - it is not available for collection unless by special order. Delivery charge will still apply.

Please be aware that delivery of this item is delivered on a double pallet and the main box weighs 110Kg and box 2 weighs 77Kg so unless the components are taken out of the boxes, it will take a coule of strom chaps to move the main box.
