The Apex Elite bar is a good quality commercial general use bar. With a grip measuring 28.5mm it is very slightly stiffer than most competion Olympic bars (28mm) giving greater function for anyone performing heavy olympic lifts.

Self lubricating bushing in sleeves allow smooth rotation, medium-coarse knurling gives improved grip.

When we received these Apex bars into stock it was like a breath of fresh air to see something coming out of China that was actually made to a very high standard. The knurling is medium-coarse, the perfect grip without being excessive; very even and accurately machined with precise edges.

The plated bar shaft appears to also match the same high grade and quality. Measuring the shart with vernier callipers it too was very tight to quoted specifications.

Being 28.5mm it's very marginally stiffer than a regular 28mm bar not that most would notice.

The bar ends are Manganese Phosphate coated for durabillity with fairly fine, perfectly machined "grip rings" as to be expected on any  bar of quality. 

Bar end rotation isn't needle roller bearing "free spinning" as even the highest quality bushed bearings have quite a bit more friction than roller bearings but they're tuff and precision matched to the bar so there's absolutely no rattle or wobble on the bar ends as found on cheaper bars. 

Overall this is an extremely well engineered bar for the price and one we thoroughly reccomend if you're specifically looking for a 7' all-round bar.
